~The Akashic Records: Timeless Wisdom and Soul Lessons
for Learning and Growth~

The terms "Akasha" and the "Akashic Records" are not new age concepts.  Although these names were both introduced by the Theosophists in the early 1900's, the belief in a "hall of records" or a "Book of Life" - in a celestial book, tablet, or library containing the history of humanity and each soul's journey - has existed in ancient cultures across the planet and is mentioned, by many names, in all of the sacred texts of the major religions.  The names may differ but the essence is the same and many cultures since the beginning of time have accessed these records for guidance.

"Akasha" is a Sanskrit word, and means primary substance; energy in its first and earliest state; that out of which all things are formed.  It is a non-physical, invisible substance that provides the template for physical form.  Akasha is the space that fills the sky, connecting everything within.  The Akasha exists in every living creature and provides the template and substance of the material world.  It is all pervading.  This Akashic or primary substance is of exquisite fineness and is so sensitive that the slightest vibrations any place in the Universe register an indelible impression upon it.  All things arise out of the Akasha - and through it, all things are interconnected.

You may have heard of the Akashic Records before, but if you haven't, you are not alone.  However, you have unknowingly had many interactions with the Records throughout your life.  You have been guided, cautioned and inspired.  You have been spoken to in dreams and whispered to in meditation and prayer.  Your imagination has been sparked and your core truth stimulated. 

• The Akashic Records are, quite simply, a non-physical compendium, or encyclopedia; the history and memory of the Universe; an imprint of the history of all life.  The Records hold the wisdom of the ages.

• But they also hold the record of every soul, including every thought, intention, emotion, word and deed in every lifetime, between every lifetime, as well as all future possibilities.  The Records also contain the patterns that we chose and that now may be limiting us.  These patterns, or "blocks and restrictions", create the challenges that we must eventually confront in order to release and clear them and move forward in our life journey and for our soul growth.  When we take full responsibility for our choices, past and present, we can learn the soul lessons that will enable us to live truly authentic and abundant lives. 

The Akashic Records are not static or remote:
Just as the Universe is always changing and expanding, so are the Akashic Records.  They grow and develop with each input.  As our souls evolve over time, our Records adjust to reflect our growth and are in a continual state of refinement.  The Records constantly interact with us - stimulating our essence, healing our past and providing creative inspiration and guidance as we more closely align with our soul's deepest expression.

Spiritual Beings in the Records:
There are Beings of Light that are found within the Akashic Records and have different levels and responsibilities similar to the hierarchy of the Angels.

• The Lords of the Records are Light Beings who work at the universal level.  They are responsible for maintaining the integrity and incorruptibility of the Akashic Records.  As such, they decide who may or may not access the Records and what information will be revealed during a particular reading.  Once they make that decision, they give the information to the Masters, Teachers and Loved Ones of the soul who is seeking guidance.
• The Masters are also a group of Light Beings who have never been in physical bodies, but unlike the Lords, they work with individual souls.  Your particular Masters have been with you since your soul's inception and are responsible for your soul's ongoing growth and development.  Based on the lessons your soul chose to experience, your Masters will call upon certain Teachers and Loved Ones to support your mastery of those lessons, choosing the right ones best suited to help you.  Just as you have more than one Master, a Master can have more than one soul in its charge.
• The Teachers may or may not have been in physical bodies before.  The Teachers are lesson specific.  They only stay with your soul for as long as it takes you to learn a particular lesson and integrate the consciousness of that Teacher or Teachers, then they move on to other souls.  If they were ever in physical form, they may have been "ordinary people" or one of the highly evolved individuals who have served humanity.  Regardless of who they were, they prefer to remain unidentified because they don't want you to become dependent on them, or their earthly identities.
• Loved Ones are people you knew in this lifetime but who are now deceased.  They may or may not have been closely connected to you on an emotional level.  They may have been very close to you, or watched you from a distance; but after they passed, they chose to actively support and serve you and are committed to your soul's growth and evolution.  Like the Teachers, your Loved Ones prefer to remain unidentified, but will reveal themselves if they feel that your knowing who they are will support you in that moment.
