The Late Bloomer
I would love to say that I am one of those people that has been intuitive/empathic/psychic since early childhood, etc., etc. But the fact is that I'm what you might call a "late bloomer", and I think that fact is actually quite important. The reason being, that I believe this is where an incredibly large percentage of the population of spiritual seekers are finding themselves right now. We're wondering if we've "wasted" too much of our lives, searching in all the "wrong" places. So for those of you that think that it's too late to develop your psychic and intuitive abilities or to start on a new spiritual path, I'm proof that an "old dog" can actually learn new tricks. And it is never too late to start to "remember" who you truly are! In fact, it is through the Akashic Records that I was shown that everything in my life has truly been in perfect Divine timing. Everything I've done had purpose and was part of my spiritual/soul progress. All the pieces were placed in the proper spot at the perfect time.
I've been a spiritual seeker my whole life but for almost all of it I was looking for my connection with the Divine through traditional Christianity. But in my mid-50's I took a different path. I started reading books by authors like Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Elizabeth Lesser, Wayne Dyer and many, many others. I discovered crystals and stones and realized that I could actually feel their energies when I held them in my hands. They continue to be my energetic partners and teachers.
Then in April of 2010, when I was almost 58, I was at a spiritual bookstore with my dear friend, and now Reiki Master Teacher, Betty Rohner. We ended up talking to an amazing woman named Sarah who worked there and who was drawn to us and asked if she could tell us what she was "getting". We said "sure" and, one at a time, she told us what she was being shown. She told me, among other things, about the guardian angel who was with me and who my Spirit Guide was. (I had no idea I even had one!). I talked to her twice after that and she gave me even more information. But the most important point I want to make is this: the first time I met her and talked to her, I could easily have just thought, "What a bunch of crazy hooey!" But I didn't. Everything she told me resonated somewhere deep inside of me. It all felt like Truth. And it didn't seem like this was all new information. Instead it felt like something that I had only forgotten and was now being helped to remember. And of course, that is exactly what it was. Sarah was a teacher who had shown up in my life at just the moment when I was ready to take the next step on my spiritual journey. Or more accurately, when I was ready to jump off the cliff!
She suggested what Betty and I should do next to help us in our spiritual development and we did it. Two months later, we took Reiki classes and were given our attunements and certifications for Level I, then Level II and finally Master from Daisy Thompson of Northwest Healing Studio in Seattle. This was my first healing tool and it opened up a whole new world, as it also did for Betty.
A year later, after experiencing a powerful experience of Kundalini energy at a weekend retreat, which I believe raised my vibration further, I found that I had mediumship abilities and was able to connect with those in spirit.
My mediumship continued developing under the guidance of four talented mediums, who I am honored to also call friends. In February 2012, I attended James Van Praagh's 5-day Mastering Mediumship workshop in Seattle and in September 2014, I had the privilege of attending an Advanced Mediumship 5-day workshop with John Holland and Janet Nohavec at The Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.
The next piece to my story is the gift of the Akashic Records. I first learned about the Akashic Records in 2010. But it wasn't until 2011 that I was guided to learn more. Through several teachers and numerous authors, I discovered not only what a tremendous influence the Records have on our lives but also that I had the ability to access my own Akashic Records. As I worked within my Records, using automatic writing, I started asking the questions about my life that had plagued me and I received such amazing wisdom! It was nothing that I could have come up with from my own thoughts and mind and it was all so loving and resonated so deeply with me. And just like with my first spiritual teacher, Sarah, all that was being told to me felt, on some level, like it wasn't actually new but was just information that I had forgotten and was now remembering. I continued to work within my Records and found insight, clarity, understanding and powerful healing.
This was so profound for me that I wanted to share it. I started to do readings for everyone I knew. And their responses were all very positive and supportive, telling me that I needed to be doing this! I realized that reading the Akashic Records was going to be the cornerstone of the healing practice that was developing and that I was being called to do.
In the spring of 2014, I was searching for something - I wasn't sure what - to enhance my Akashic Records practice. I was guided to Soul Realignment and Andrrea Hess. I became a Certified Advanced Soul Realignment Practitioner in the fall of 2014. Before I was even done with the Level I instruction, I had enrolled in Level II. I have since completed Level III as well as instruction on the Soul Manifesting Blueprint, Karmic Mastery, Reading the Future in the Akashic Records, Business & Financial Abundance and Vital Force Energy Mastery. This incredible soul-level modality has become one of the foundations of my Akashic Records work and offers me so many ways in which to utilize the power of the Akashic Records to bring new understanding and clarity to my clients and help them to remember who they truly are and how they can best create the life of abundance and fulfillment that their soul came here to experience.
My next learning experience began in March 2015 when I read the book, The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson. This book was a revelation and I immediately started to follow the instructions in the book in order to release the trapped emotions and emotional baggage that had been affecting me for a very long time. The Emotion Code healing modality was a perfect fit with Soul Realignment and reading the Akashic Records, so I began to incorporate it into my work with clients. In May 2017, I completed all requirements to become a Certified Practitioner of The Emotion Code.
Shortly after my introduction to The Emotion Code, in May 2015 I took the next step and began my journey with The Body Code healing system. After learning all the protocols by using it on myself, I began integrating The Body Code into my other healing modalities. But eventually I wanted to make it a more prominent focus of my healing work, so in May 2019 I completed all the requirements to become a Certified Practitioner of The Body Code.
In November 2023, the new groundbreaking form of energy healing, The Belief Code, was introduced by Dr. Bradley Nelson. I immediately took the training and became a Belief Code Certified Practitioner in December 2023.
I realize that there is still so much more for me to learn and so much further that I can go with my growth and development. I have personally experienced "The Healing Shift" and want more than anything else to help others to find that for themselves.
